How I Have Showed Respect Today

Today we were asked to write about ways we have shown respect at home and at school. This is what i have come up with. Showing respect is a key part of our lives and it is great to be acknowledged for showing it.

Today i showed respect by making my brothers and sisters lunch for them before i went to school. I think i showed respect by doing that because i woke up early so then i have the time to make their lunches and to get my things sorted swell.

I also showed respect today by not interfering with my friends when they were doing their work. I have also showed respect to my teacher by doing the work and paying attention when she was explaining the task. I think i have shown respect by doing that because i'm not interfering with their learning and i'm not disrupting them and putting them off the set task. The other way I think i showed respect is when we get called to a group session or called to face her so she can give instructions, I listen and face her so then she knows i am listening to her and not being distracted.

What are ways you have showed respect today?

Reading Creative Task

The following morning as i was locking my bike up, I peered over to where i usually meet up with Calvin to walk to class but he isn’t there? I start to walk around as i am scared because i can’t find calvin. Maybe he got suspended? Or maybe he is already in class? As i said that, the bell rings so i head to class hoping that calvin is there.

It was 5 minutes into social studies and calvin walks through the door. I feel bad for calvin because everyone is staring at him in disgust and annoyance. But i silently wave him over my way so we can sit together.  Disappointingly robbie is sitting a row behind me so hopefully nothing goes down.

As i’m writing down notes about the lesson, I over here Robbie saying things about being drunk and i can see that Calvin is clenching his fist’s into a tight ball as if he was going to spin around and swing. At this point i can tell that Calvin is in discomfort and anger, but then all i see is a quick movement as Calvin swings his arm back and makes contact with robbies jaw. This isn’t going to end well...

The whole class gasps and is all staring at Calvin and i not knowing who had done the damage. With the force of calvin’s punch, it had knocked robbie off of his chair and he was in an unconscious heap on the floor. At this point i didn’t know what to do, I was in shock and Calvin was breathing deeply so it was a little obvious that it was him that did it. Miss Gibson Had finally noticed about 5 seconds after the incident and Calvin end’s up turning himself in for his mistake. The last words I heard from Calvin until my later years were. “ I’m sorry, I let the anger get the best of me. So long for now my good friend.”  as i got home that afternoon, I crumpled onto my bed knowing that i wont see my best friend for a long time.

My Impression On The New Hornby High Building

On Monday we came back to school for the start of term 3. During the year, the school was getting a new building on our site. In this paragraph i will be telling you the things i like/dislike about the new building.

Things i like:
I like the fact that the new building makes the space look bigger and the new building makes the place not look like a school. Another reason is that i like the inside set up because it feel more open unlike the old s & a block.

Things i dislike is the space consumption and now that it is finished, there isn't enough room to run around and there isn't much to do during break time.

That is my First impression.
