Writing Workshop
On the 31st of October, Some of the year eights to elevens went to a writing workshop in the learning commons. For this workshop we were learning lots about narratives and the different ways to make your narratives more exciting. We all had to write down notes so then we could make an improvement in our writing. In my opinion this hes helped my writing and the story line for how my characters meet and their traces. We learnt things like. The characters will most of the time relate back to you, you can mix up their personality and quality's to make the story outcome different. There are things called Stereotypes and Archetypes. A stereotype is what you expect someone to be like or how you expect them to act, like when you see a princess you expect her to act formal. Or the big bad wolf, you expect him to cause controversy and to find three little pigs. An archetype is the original character like a goddess which you can't predict what they will be like.

Well done Aiden on taking on this additional blogging task today. I really like getting to read about the opportunities you get to have outside of our form class time. It sounds like this was a great workshop and that you learned lots.
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt that these skills will help you with your writing and you are well on your way to producing Year 9 quality work! I am very proud of the way you always say yes to new opportunities to build your skills.
